Shark Dive on Oahu’s North Shore
Experience an up-close encounter with sharks aboard custom aluminum boats off Oahu’s North Shore. After a safety briefing and history of local sharks, travel three to four miles offshore to a moored cage in clear blue water.
Masks and snorkels are provided, allowing exceptional visibility to observe Galapagos, sandbar, and occasional tiger sharks as they approach the cage. The cage comfortably holds up to 8 people.
- Departure Location: Haleiwa Small Boat Harbor, 66-105 Haleiwa Road, Haleiwa, HI
- Included: Safety briefing, shark biology education, masks and snorkels, use of shark cage, prescription masks available
- Check-in: Tours depart year-round, first tour usually at 7 AM (6 AM June–August), with multiple departures through the afternoon
- What to Bring: Underwater camera, bottled water
- Restrictions: No chumming used; sharks attracted by boat motor sounds
Disposable cameras and video options are available for purchase. Transportation to Haleiwa Harbor is not included.
