The PADI Dive Against Debris Specialty in Kailua-Kona is a 5-hour course focused on protecting and cleaning the ocean. This specialty includes 2 dives aboard a 46ft custom dive boat, where you learn to identify and safely remove debris while improving buoyancy control.

Course Activities and Equipment

The course provides tanks, weights, a collection bag, and gloves for debris removal. Participants are encouraged to purchase personal gloves and a cutting tool for future collections. The training includes eLearning and certification processing codes.

Additional Details

Transportation is included, and personal scuba equipment is available for rent or purchase. The course meets at the Kona Honu Diver’s Boat Slip and is open to divers aged 18 and older. Cancellation is permitted up to 7 days before the course for a full refund.
