Geothermal Ponds Tour
Begin your tour at Kohala Coffee and travel along one of the island’s most scenic coastal roads near Pāhoa, close to ocean views, lava cliffs, and tidepools. The first stop includes an educational visit to a location highlighting Hawaiian plants, customs, and beliefs.
Next, visit the newest black sand beach formed by the 2018 lava flow, followed by swimming in three geothermal ponds. These ponds, heated by underground magma, range from 99 to 105 degrees and include a picturesque hot spring hidden in the jungle, the only hot ponds on any Hawaiian island.
The tour accommodates up to six people and offers a unique natural hot tub experience without lava flow viewing.
