Hammerhead Shark Search in Kailua-Kona

Depart from Honokōhau Harbor at 7:00am with Deep Water Hawaii for a snorkel trip focused on encountering sharks such as scalloped hammerheads and oceanic white tips. The trip returns by 12pm after a scenic coastal cruise.

Included are mask, snorkel, fins, assorted snacks, and refreshments. The crew guides you to different reef and offshore sites where various Hawaiian shark species may be found. Each trip varies based on wildlife activity and ocean conditions, with no guaranteed encounters.

Guests should arrive 15 minutes before departure and bring reef-safe sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, sun-protective clothing, and a warm layer for the ride home. Parking is near restrooms between the two boat ramps on the north side of Honokōhau Harbor.
