Guided Night Dives Kihei

Guided Night Dives Kihei provide an opportunity to experience the underwater world after dark. Maui Dreams Dive Co. leads these dives where nocturnal creatures such as fishes, eels, crustaceans, nudibranchs, and sometimes sharks become active.

Timing and Duration

Dives begin approximately one hour before sunset and last between four to six hours, varying seasonally. Prior to the dive, participants visit the shop for gear fitting and site selection.

What to Expect

At the beach, divers set up their equipment or receive assistance. After a briefing and buddy checks, the dive explores the vibrant reef illuminated by dive lights. This peaceful experience reveals the reef’s nighttime ecosystem.

Prerequisites

Participants must be certified divers who have dived within the last two years. Those who have not dived in over five years are advised to take a refresher dive before joining.
