Molokini Crater Backwall & Carthaginian Wreck 2 Tank Dive
The Molokini Crater Dive is designed for experienced divers holding Advanced Certification with at least 25 logged dives and recent diving activity. This 7-hour trip includes two dives: the Molokini Backwall and the Carthaginian Wreck.
Dive Sites
The first dive at the Molokini Backwall features a stunning vertical drop-off and clear blue water. Divers can expect to see nudibranchs, pipefish, and endemic reef fish. It is also one of the best locations in Maui County for pelagic species.
The second dive explores the Carthaginian, a semi-penetrable wreck resting at 100 feet. This historic whaling shipwreck is home to white tip reef sharks, frogfish, eels, and other marine life.
Experience Requirements
This trip is suitable only for divers in good physical condition who meet the certification and experience prerequisites. The dive offers a unique combination of wall and wreck diving in Maui’s waters.
