Try Freediving with Affinity Freediving

Experience freediving in Hawaii with a 2.5-hour introductory course designed for almost everyone with proper equipment and training. Sessions usually start at 1 p.m. at Shark’s Cove, North Shore, Oahu, or Magic Island, depending on conditions.

The course covers basics such as using a mask and snorkel, duck diving, finning techniques, streamlining, equalization, buoyancy, and important safety protocols. Participants review freediving equipment and then apply skills during a short fun dive to explore the area.

This course provides a foundation for basic freediving skills and prepares participants for a full Level 1 certification. Free dive gear can be provided upon request. Short video clips are included, so bringing a GoPro is recommended.

Important: Proficient swimming skills are required. Participants receive a Try Freediving recognition card from SSI. Safety reminders include never freediving alone. Standard forms must be completed prior to the course.
