Whale Watch in Waianae, Hawaii

Experience the majestic Humpback Whales migrating to the Hawaiian Islands from mid-December to March. These whales come to calve and mate in the warm inshore waters, which protect young whales from predators as they prepare for their 3,000-mile journey north.

Males reach up to 43 feet and females 45 feet in length, weighing around 35 tons. During mating season, males produce intricate songs composed of themes and phrases. Watch these acrobatic animals breach and slap the water with their tails and pectoral fins.

The Whale Watch tour is offered every day at 2:30 pm and lasts approximately 3 hours. If whales are not spotted, a return trip voucher is provided. Participants can also snorkel with sea turtles and fish; snorkel gear and life vests are provided. Snacks and beverages are welcome, and GoPro rentals are available.
