Activity details | AIDA level 3 is the first foray in to deep freediving. It expands on level 2 and adds a great deal of detail and theory. | 3 Days (21 collective hours) | The course is designed to further develop skills from previous levels, to acquire new skills and gain a higher knowledge of safety procedures and techniques. The new techniques that are introduced are free-fall, Frenzel Equalizing, the use of training tables, the risks of increasing and decreasing pressure and also how to minimize these risks. Students will train these skills in the most common disciplines of freediving: Static Apnea, Dynamic Apnea, Free Immersion and Constant Weight. | Day 1 Class Structure (6:00AM-2:00PM):The day will start at 6am at the Ala Wai Harbor in Waikiki. From there, will have a theory session on the beach. We will then move into the shallow ocean to practice Static Apnea. We will then Immediately go out on a boat for deep diving training. This open water session’s main focus is to start learning the free fall. | Day 1 Class Structure (6:00AM-2:00PM): | After the open water session, we will have lunch and another theory session before ending the day. | Day 2 Class Structure (6:30AM-1:00PM):Day 2 will start at 6:30am at the Ala Wai Harbor. We will then move into the shallow ocean to practice Dynamic apnea. We will go over rescue techniques for confined water disciplines. | Day 2 Class Structure (6:30AM-1:00PM): | We will then immediately go out on a boat for a deep session. This session will also focus on the freefall, but we will incorporate other course requirements into the session. | After the deep diving session, we will break for the day. | Day 3 Class Structure (6:30AM-1:00PM):Day three will start at 6:30, and immediately we will be going out on a boat. | Day 3 Class Structure (6:30AM-1:00PM): | In this deep diving session, we will then focus on putting our freewill together with deep dives. We will learn the more advanced safety aspects of freediving. We will learn to save an unconscious diver from an underwater blackout and learn best practices to make sure everyone involved is always safe. | After the deep diving session, we will break for lunch and take the final exam to end the course. | This course includes 1-2 professional photos. | This course includes 1-2 professional photos. | What to Bring | For each day of the course, we recommend having: | For each day of the course, we recommend having:
