Basic Keelboat Sailing Lessons (ASA 101)
Offered at Kewalo Basin in Honolulu, this course is designed for beginners to learn how to safely sail and dock a sloop-rigged keelboat of 20 to 27 feet in light to moderate winds and sea conditions.
The 1 or 2-day course runs from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and includes logbook, registration, certification fees, and a 1-year membership to the American Sailing Association (ASA). Students will become familiar with safety equipment, points of sail, rules of the road, docking, and sailing terminology.
