Walk along a volcanic black sand beach and snorkel in a pristine lagoon where sea turtles are often seen on this fully narrated and guided tour near Hilo. This is a land-based tour, not a boat excursion.

Your experienced local snorkel guide will teach you about the volcanic origins of the black sand beaches and islands, and introduce you to abundant sea life including colorful corals, eels, eagle rays, manta rays, and tropical reef fish.

New snorkelers and children are welcome, with expert instruction and safety support throughout. The half-day small group tour includes two snorkeling stops at Carl Smith and Richardsons Beach Parks, island snacks, and juices.

Please arrive on time as tours depart promptly. Rental gear fitting requires early arrival. Suitable for ages 8 and up; minors must be accompanied by an adult. Not suitable for pregnant guests, those over 300 lbs, with mobility issues, or unable to swim unassisted.
