Embark on a voyage to old Hawaii aboard a traditional Hawaiian canoe (Waʻa) with Hulakai. Meet at ʻAnaehoʻomalu Bay Canoe Club, next to Lava Lava Beach Club in Waikoloa Village. Your certified steersman will teach proper paddling techniques and guide your crew as you paddle towards a black sand beach.

This motor-free experience lets you set your own pace, whether leisurely or rigorous. Canoe paddling is popular among locals of all ages, offering a real Hawaiian experience suitable for beginners and experienced paddlers alike. All canoeing gear is provided.

Availability is Monday through Thursday. Remember to bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a water bottle for comfort.
