The freediving training safari is a 5-hour experience designed exclusively for certified freedivers departing from Honokohau Harbor. This trip combines professional depth coaching with an offshore wildlife safari along the Kona Coast.

Training and Diving Activities

The day begins with approximately two hours of depth training or deep reef diving under the supervision of an experienced instructor. Depth training sessions take place on a line, with divers limited to their certification limits. Training sites include local shipwrecks at 30m/100ft or open water at 60m/200ft. Alternatively, divers may explore deep reefs or unique freediving locations to practice breath-hold skills.

Wildlife Safari and Additional Features

Following training, the trip continues with about three hours of offshore exploration searching for pelagic marine life. Participants may observe or potentially swim with various species depending on conditions. The safari includes photographic opportunities, assorted snacks, and refreshments.
