The freediving training wildlife safari is a specialized 5-hour charter designed exclusively for certified freedivers along the Kona Coast. Departing from Honokohau Harbor at 7:00am, this experience combines professional depth coaching with an offshore search for pelagic marine life.

Depth Training and Reef Exploration

The morning session lasts approximately two hours and offers either depth training or deep reef diving. Depth training is conducted on a line under the supervision of an experienced instructor, with divers limited to their certification limits and bottom profiles. Training sites include a local shipwreck at 30 meters (100 feet) or open water at 60 meters (200 feet). Alternatively, divers may explore deep reefs or unique freediving locations to practice breath-hold skills and observe diverse marine life.

Offshore Wildlife Safari

Following the training, the trip continues with a three-hour offshore wildlife safari. Participants search for pelagic species in the open ocean, with photographic opportunities and refreshments provided. The safari concludes with a scenic coastal cruise back to the harbor.
