Join an open group surf session at Kalama Park in Kihei, Maui, where up to six students share the experience under the guidance of professional instructors. Lessons last 2 hours and include surfboard, leash, and rash guard for protection.
Lessons begin with a safety briefing and ocean etiquette, followed by beach instruction on paddling and popping up on the board, then hands-on in-water surfing practice. Early morning bookings are recommended for optimal water conditions.
Participants should arrive 10 minutes early for check-in and preparation. Transportation to and from the beach is not included. Gratuities for instructors are optional.
Booking requires at least two surfers online; solo surfers should contact the provider by email.
