A fishing license is required for non-Hawai‘i residents and can be obtained through the Department of Land and Natural Resources-Division of Aquatic Resources (DLNR-DAR). License costs are $20 for one day, $40 for seven days, and $70 annually. Exemptions apply for nonresident youth under 15 and active-duty military personnel and their families.
