The Intro to Surfing Kihei course is designed specifically for kids to learn about the ocean, environmental respect, and physical care. This 1-hour program begins on land, where participants learn to read weather conditions, warm up properly, and understand surfboard parts and wax application.

Once safety conditions are confirmed, the session moves to the water. Kids practice paddling techniques, safe falling methods, and how to pop up on the board. The course locations include Westside at Kapalua Bay, near the rental place on the far right when facing the ocean, and Southside at The Cove Beach Park, under the shade tree on the far left when facing the ocean.
