Junior Freediver Course in Kailua-Kona
This 2-day course by Kona Honu Divers is designed for ages 12 to 17 to build safe freediving habits and watermanship skills. The curriculum includes classroom sessions, confined water training, and open water dives at Two Step, with a maximum student-to-instructor ratio of 4:1 for safety and effectiveness.
Students learn to dive safely to a maximum depth of 50 feet (15 meters) through games and activities that integrate fundamental freediving skills and safety protocols. Check-in is at 7:45 AM on Day 1, with waivers signed in advance. Participants must be in good health and may need physician approval. Personal freediving gear is required but available for rent or purchase.
