Set out from Maui’s Olowalu Beach and paddle along the crystal-clear waters of Olowalu Reef, located within the Hawaiian Islands National Humpback Whale Marine Sanctuary. This area is home to thousands of colorful tropical fish, hundreds of giant green sea turtles, and serves as the winter birthing grounds for the North Pacific Humpback Whale.
Between December and May, an estimated 15,000 humpback whales visit the sanctuary to breed and birth before returning to Alaska. Kayak with award-winning Maui Adventure Tours, whose guides are Certified Hawaii Marine Naturalists and American Red Cross certified in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguarding.
