Keiki Tandem Surf Lesson
This 1.5-hour tandem surf lesson is designed for children ages 2 to 8 who may be hesitant or need extra confidence in the water. Each child is partnered with an instructor who rides the same surfboard, ensuring safety and teamwork while paddling and standing up on waves.
The lesson includes a land safety briefing and plenty of wave riding practice. The instructor assists with paddling, standing, and falling to help the child navigate the waves. All necessary gear is provided, including rash guard, leash, and a soft-top or epoxy surfboard. Lifejackets are also supplied.
The lesson is suitable for beginners and aims to build confidence and fun in the water. The surf locations also offer opportunities to see native marine life such as green sea turtles, humpback whales in winter, spinner dolphins in summer, reef fish, and manta rays.
