Lanai Cathedrals Scuba Diving Trip

Several times a month, Maui Diamond Sea Sports offers a scuba diving trip to Lanai, featuring dive sites such as the Cathedrals, Shark Fin, and Lighthouse. Divers check in at 6:15 in the morning and return to the harbor between 2:00 and 3:00 PM.

The captain selects dive sites based on conditions and local boat traffic. The Cathedrals are known for their massive lava tube caverns with sunlight filtering through cracks, creating a cathedral-like atmosphere. Walls are covered in coral and sponges, and marine life includes eels, turtles, sharks, and dolphins.

Participants may also see dolphins en route to or from Lanai. The trip includes juice, sodas, water, snacks, and lunch. Divers who have not dived in over two years must take a guided dive or refresher beforehand or hire a private guide. Rental gear is available for $30. A diver medical form is required for all certified divers.
