Lanai Cathedrals Dive: Unique Underwater Exploration

The Lanai Cathedrals Dive is a special scuba trip offered several times a month by Maui Diamond Sea Sports. This adventure explores dive sites around Lanai, including the Cathedrals, Shark Fin, and Lighthouse.

Marine Life and Dive Features

On the way to Lanai, divers may have the chance to see dolphins. The main attraction is the lava tubes at the Cathedrals, which create a cathedral-like atmosphere with sunlight filtering through ceiling cracks. The walls are covered in coral and sponges, hosting marine life such as eels, turtles, sharks, and dolphins.

Trip Details and Amenities

Check-in is at 6:15 AM with return to harbor between 2:00 and 3:00 PM. The trip includes juice, sodas, water, snacks, and lunch. Divers may bring additional food if it fits in under-bench dry storage. Rental gear is available for $30, including BCD and regulator.

Diver Requirements

Certified divers must complete a medical history form. If it has been over two years since the last dive, a guided dive or refresher is required before the trip or a private guide must be hired.
