Beginner surf lessons in Kihei provide a 2-hour group class designed for those new to surfing or with limited experience. This popular lesson requires no prior experience and welcomes participants aged 11 and older. The class is paced to meet each student’s needs, whether a slow learner or athlete, ensuring an enjoyable surfing experience.

Comprehensive Instruction and Equipment

Experienced instructors guide you through the lesson using stable and easy-to-ride surfboards. The warm waters of Kihei, averaging around 78°F (25.5°C), and fun waves create an ideal learning environment. All necessary gear, including surfboards, water shoes, and SPF 50 Lycra shirts, are provided. Participants only need to bring a bathing suit, towel, and something to drink.

Class Schedule and Policies

Lessons run six days a week with start times at 8 am and 10 am. A 24-hour cancellation policy applies to all activities. Photos of your surfing session are available upon request for an additional fee. Mixed-adult classes require participants to be comfortable swimmers; no non-swimmers are allowed. For younger children, semi-private or private lessons are recommended.
