Kailua-Kona offers a rare chance to snorkel with manta rays at night. Hawaii Island & Ocean Tours provides a safe, respectful experience where guests float on the surface using custom light boards that attract zooplankton, drawing manta rays close for an unforgettable encounter.

Guests swim approximately 50 feet from the boat to a paddleboard-based lighting system, wearing a flotation belt secured around the ankles to maintain a flat position on the water. Watch manta rays feed and barrel roll beneath you under professional guide supervision.

Important: This is an active ocean tour requiring confident swimming skills. It is not suitable for first-time snorkelers unless they are strong, independent swimmers comfortable in the ocean.
