Maui surfing group lessons take place on the beaches and waters off Kalama Beach Park in Kihei, Maui. This location is ideal for beginners due to its shallow water depth, consistent waves, and an average year-round water temperature of 78°F. The lessons last 2 hours and include all necessary equipment.

Class Schedule and Instructors

Classes are held twice daily at 8:00 am and 10:00 am, times chosen to take advantage of the calm morning conditions before tradewinds arrive. All instructors are CPR and First Aid certified, ensuring safety and professional guidance throughout the lesson.

Booking and Additional Details

Lessons are not available on Sundays or public holidays, and reservations must be made in advance. The minimum age for mixed-adult group lessons is 12 years; younger children are recommended to take private or semi-private lessons. Families can enjoy semi-private lessons together. A professional photographer is available to capture your surfing progress, with photo packages sold separately.
