Ocean Safari Pelagic Wildlife & Snorkel in Kailua-Kona

Departing from Honokōhau Harbor at 7:00am, this custom-tailored Ocean Safari heads offshore for a pelagic wildlife safari where nearly two dozen species of dolphins and whales, including pilot whales, may be observed. Guests seeking larger predators can explore open-ocean sites with occasional sightings of oceanic whitetip sharks and whale sharks.

The tour concludes with snorkeling at one of Kona’s vibrant coral reefs along lava-formed coastlines, home to diverse marine life including manta rays. Return to the harbor is by 12pm but no earlier than 11am.

Please arrive 15 minutes before departure. Parking is available near restrooms on the north side of Honokōhau Harbor. No bathroom onboard; please use facilities before departure. Recommended to bring reef-safe sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, sun-protective clothing, and a warm layer for the ride home.
