PADI Advanced Open Water Boat Overview
The PADI Advanced Open Water Boat course in Maui focuses on enhancing scuba diving skills through guided boat dives. This second part of the two-part Advanced Open Water certification helps divers gain confidence and comfort underwater while exploring new activities and dive sites.
Skills and Learning Objectives
Participants learn practical aspects of deep diving, physiological effects of deeper scuba, underwater navigation using compasses and landmarks, and better use of dive computers. The course content varies depending on the Adventure Dives chosen by the diver, providing a customized learning experience.
Prerequisites and Course Details
To enroll, divers must have completed the Advanced Open Water PADI e-learning program and hold a PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent. The course is open to individuals aged 15 and older (12 for Junior Advanced Open Water Diver). Medical clearance may be required based on health questionnaires.
