PADI Open Water Certification Boat Overview
The PADI Open Water Certification Boat course in Maui is the second part of the two-part certification process. This course builds on skills learned during the shore dives and applies them during boat dives, enabling divers to explore deeper and more varied locations. The boat dives provide opportunities for lifelong scuba diving adventures.
Course Content and Prerequisites
The course includes knowledge development and open water dives to review and practice scuba skills. Prerequisites include completion of the PADI Open Diver e-learning course and two shore dives from part one. Participants must be at least 10 years old and complete medical questionnaires prior to diving.
Location and Experience
Maui’s diverse dive sites accessible by boat offer excellent conditions for certification dives. This course is essential to becoming a certified Open Water Diver and opens the door to advanced scuba experiences.
