The PADI ReActivate Course is designed to help certified divers regain confidence and update their certification. This 3-hour course includes 1.5 hours of pool training and a 1.5 hour shore dive for skill verification.
Course Structure and Prerequisites
Participants must be at least 10 years old and hold an Open Water or higher certification. The pool session covers gear assembly, safety checks, mask removal and replacement, regulator recovery, neutral buoyancy, alternate air source use, emergency weight drop, and other skills. The shore dive confirms these skills in real ocean conditions.
Additional Information
Before in-water sessions, divers complete a short PADI eLearning module to refresh dive knowledge. Hilo Ocean Adventures requires a refresher for any diver who has not dived in the past two years to ensure safety and preparedness.
