PADI ReActivate Course in Hilo
The PADI ReActivate Course is designed to help certified divers refresh and update their skills after a period of inactivity. This 3-hour course includes 1.5 hours of pool training and a 1.5 hour shore dive skill verification at Wai’olena Beach.
Participants must be at least 10 years old and hold a valid Open Water or higher certification. The course begins with a short PADI eLearning module to refresh dive knowledge before in-water sessions.
Course Details
- Pool training covers gear assembly, safety checks, mask removal and replacement, regulator recovery, buoyancy control, alternate air source use, and emergency procedures
- Shore dive verifies skills in real ocean conditions
- Upon completion, divers receive a PADI ReActivate certification card recognized worldwide
Hilo Ocean Adventures requires a refresher for any diver who has not dived within the past two years, ensuring safety and confidence before returning to open water adventures.
