Pelagic Night Dive in Waianae

Experience an extraordinary night dive drifting peacefully along a current line in the Pacific Ocean. This 3-hour Pelagic 1-tank dive allows you to observe tiny bioluminescent organisms that light up the dark waters, including colorful jellies and bizarre zooplankton.

The dive begins at Waianae Small Boat Harbor just before sunset. After watching the sunset en route to the dive site at about 2000 feet depth, divers enter the water floating tethered in the deep dark sea, usually staying no deeper than 50 feet. Groups are limited to 8 divers for safety and quality experience.

This dive offers a rare glimpse into the deep ocean’s night life, with creatures that seem alien in appearance.
