Kayak from Olowalu Beach with views of the West Maui Mountains and the clear waters of Olowalu Reef. Located in the Hawaiian Islands National Humpback Whale Marine Sanctuary, the area hosts thousands of tropical fish, hundreds of Giant Green Sea Turtles, and is a winter birthing ground for North Pacific Humpback Whales.

Between December and May, an estimated 15,000 humpback whales visit to breed and give birth. The tour is led by knowledgeable guides certified as Hawaii Marine Naturalists and in CPR/First Aid/Lifeguard training.

The 4 to 4.5-hour experience includes snorkeling equipment (mask, snorkel, fins), life jackets, fish identification cards, water, and snacks. Whale sightings are guaranteed January through March.

Check-in is at 7:30 am near Mile Marker 14 on Honoapiilani Highway, Maui. Suitable for ages 5 and up.
