Paddle the peaceful Anahulu River from its mouth near Haleiwa Harbor upstream through a mix of fresh and salt water framed by the Ko‘olau range. Glide past basking green sea turtles that often surface nearby. Lessons are provided by local North Shore Surf Girls—former pro surfers and trained lifeguards—who emphasize skill, safety, and a supportive atmosphere.
- Stand-up paddleboard and life jackets provided
- Upstream paddle lasts 45–60 minutes before returning downstream
- Calm river feeding into Haleiwa Bay with views of Ko‘olau Mountain Range
- Private and semi-private lessons max 2 students per instructor; group lessons require 3 or more students
