Beginners Sailing Camp Overview
The beginners sailing camp in Lihue is designed for keiki aged 7 to 17 with little to no prior sailing experience. Hosted by the Kauai Sailing Association, this camp runs daily from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the KSA Clubhouse located in Nawiliwili Small Boat Harbor.
What to Expect
Participants will spend time on the water learning to sail while gaining knowledge about marine life and ocean skills. The camp emphasizes building self-confidence and self-reliance through hands-on sailing experience. Campers will also have opportunities to make new friends in a supportive environment.
Included and Preparation
The camp provides lunch or snacks and water bottles, with water refill available. Campers should bring sunscreen, a hat or sunglasses, water clothes, and a towel to stay comfortable throughout the day.
Cancellation Policy and Additional Info
The camp offers a full refund with one week’s notice of cancellation. A 50% refund is available for cancellations within 24 hours, and full refund or credit is given for weather-related cancellations.
