Experience Discover Scuba Diving in Kauai’s Pool

Discover Scuba Diving at the Sheraton Kauai Resort provides non-certified divers a safe and fun introduction to scuba diving. This 45 to 60-minute session covers fundamental safety rules and basic scuba skills under professional supervision.

What to Expect During the Session

After meeting your instructor, you complete a questionnaire and receive an in-depth briefing on scuba diving basics. The instructor introduces the dive gear, explains its use, and guides you through putting it on. You then enter the pool to practice three essential scuba skills that ensure safety and build confidence.

Building Confidence and Next Steps

Following skill practice, the instructor leads a swim around the pool to help you navigate underwater as a first-time diver. Participants comfortable with the pool experience are encouraged to upgrade to ocean discovery dives to explore marine life in natural settings.

Health and Safety Considerations

Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Certain medical conditions or medications may require physician approval before participation. Dive Kauai staff provide guidance but are not medical professionals.
