Semi private surf lessons offer a 2:1 student to instructor ratio, ideal for beginners and intermediate surfers. Sunset Suzy’s Hawaiian Surf School often takes students to lesser-known surf spots to avoid crowds and match skill levels with current conditions.

Lesson Schedule and Pricing

Lessons run daily at 10 am, 12 pm, and 2:30 pm, lasting approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. The cost is $125 per person, suitable for ages 3 and older.

Surfing Environment and Equipment

Most lessons take place in a protected cove on the North Shore with gentle beginner waves similar to Waikiki but with fewer people and more scenic surroundings. All surfing equipment, including surfboards, leashes, and rash guards, is provided.

Unique Experience

Students often encounter Hawaiian sea turtles swimming nearby during lessons. Participants should bring a swimsuit, sunscreen, and towel to enjoy the session fully.
