This 2-day course totaling 6 hours teaches freediving skills including diving up to 20 meters (66 feet) and building breath hold capacity to over 1 minute 30 seconds. The course covers key safety and dive management skills.
Training begins with basics such as finning, duck dives, buoyancy, equalization, and recovery breathing. Participants practice relaxation and buoyancy in shallow water with dive buddies, incorporating mindfulness techniques. Basic freediving skills focus on streamlining, breathing, and equalization.
The final day includes open water practice to test new skills. Breath sessions teach diaphragm engagement and relaxation techniques essential to freediving. Safety techniques and local regulations for diving in Hawaii are reviewed.
What to Bring: Reef-safe sunscreen and other snorkeling gear as provided.
