The Puako morning scuba dive Sunrise Explorer is a 4-hour adventure that reveals the underwater landscapes of Puako and Kohala coastlines. Departing from South Kawaihae Small Boat Harbor, the trip begins with a 7:30AM meet and 8:00AM boat departure, returning at 12:00PM. This dive features two tanks and is designed for guests aged 10 and older.

Underwater Landscapes and Marine Life

Guests will explore lava formations creating caves, arches, and ridges teeming with reef life. The morning light enhances visibility, allowing divers to see schools of butterflyfish, sea turtles, and volcanic structures resembling science fiction scenes. The boat carries no more than six guests, ensuring an intimate and unhurried dive experience.
