This beginner-focused stand up paddling lesson takes place in the calm, protected waters of Reeds Bay, ideal for first-time paddlers and families. Instruction begins on shore with basic safety and technique before moving into smooth water along Banyan Drive’s shoreline.

• Recommended for ages 8 and up (minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult)
• Includes stand up paddleboard, paddle, life jacket, professional instructor, and bottled water
• Practice balance, steering, and paddle strokes in a slow-paced, supportive environment
• Scenic views of Banyan Drive and Hilo oceanfront
• Opportunities to spot honu (sea turtles), reef fish, and seabirds
