The Surf class Kihei provides comprehensive surfing instruction suitable for all ages and skill levels. Located at Maui’s most reliable surf spot, this class offers a safe and enjoyable environment for beginners and advanced surfers alike.

Lesson Details

Each standard surf lesson lasts two hours, including a brief land session before entering the water. The sheltered bay features gentle, predictable waves breaking over a sloping reef, minimizing paddling distance and making it ideal for learners.

Equipment Provided

• Beginner surfboards in various sizes
• Lycra rashguard shirts
• Reef booties for protection

Advanced surfers can rent from a selection of different board styles. All participants must be able to swim due to some deep water sections.

Location and Environment

The lessons take place close to shore in a bay with water depths ranging from knee to chest deep. This location ensures safety and comfort for learners while enjoying Maui’s warm ocean.
