Private Surf Lesson Kihei with Experienced Instructor

The private surf lesson in Kihei is designed to help individuals feel comfortable in the water and progress at their own pace. This one-on-one lesson lasts 1.5 hours and takes place at Ukumehame Beach, located between Kihei and Lahaina.

Personalized Instruction and Equipment

Participants receive guidance from a private, experienced instructor from Maui. Soft top surfboards are handpicked based on each participant’s height, weight, and ability. Long sleeve rash guards are provided to protect against rashes and sun exposure. A digital photo package is included to capture the experience.

People of any age can surf, provided they know how to swim and feel comfortable in the ocean. The instructor can discuss booking options for children under 8 years old. The lesson is tailored to individual needs and skill levels.

What to Bring

Participants should bring a towel, water, and reef-safe sunscreen. While rash guards are provided, guests may bring their own. Athletic leggings are recommended for additional protection. Note that there are no restroom facilities at the exact meeting location, but porta-potties are available nearby at Ukumehame Beach Park.
