Group surf lessons Kihei are designed for families and small groups seeking a fun and safe introduction to surfing. The 2-hour lessons take place at Kalama Park, where experienced instructors provide personalized coaching in groups of six or fewer.

Lesson Structure and Safety

Participants check in five minutes before the lesson at the Waves Hawaii surf school van located in Kalama Park, across from the Aloha gas station. Each lesson begins with a warm aloha, a detailed ocean safety briefing, and a land session covering surfing basics and safety.

Surfing Experience

After the briefing, you enter the water to catch waves for over an hour under the guidance of CPR and first-aid trained instructors. All necessary equipment is provided, ensuring a hassle-free experience. Photo packages are available for an additional fee.
