The waterfall swim and hike tour in Lihue offers a 1.5 to 2-hour guided experience on private property overlooking the Hule’ia watershed and Ha’upu Mountain range. Guests visit two secret waterfalls, including the 30-foot Bamboo Falls and the 60-foot Papakolea Falls.
Activities and Highlights
The tour includes a quarter-mile hike to the waterfalls, photo opportunities at Bamboo Falls, and the chance to swim in and climb behind the cascading Papakolea Falls. The terrain includes slippery, muddy, and uneven surfaces requiring physical fitness.
Schedule and Requirements
Tour times are 11 AM and 1 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Participants must be at least 8 years old and able to handle stairs and rugged terrain. Water shoes, towel, swimsuit, and sunscreen are recommended.
