Every year, over 20,000 humpback whales return to Hawaii for breeding season. Depart from Honokohau Harbor aboard the Hoku Elima to search for these majestic creatures. Captains coordinate with other vessels and shore spotters to provide the best viewing experience.
Onboard, enjoy light snacks and refreshments while watching whales, including newborn calves and males displaying behaviors. A hydrophone system is used to listen to whale songs underwater. The experienced crew shares knowledge, stories, and answers questions about humpbacks.
