The Whale Watching Tour Hilo is a 1 hour and 45 minute excursion departing from Wailoa Harbor. This tour heads out past the breakwater to areas south offshore of Blonde Reef, Puhi Bay, and Leleiwi Bay. The boat may also travel north towards Pepeʻekeo Point and Onomea Bay to showcase the beautiful coastline of Hilo Bay.

Participants have the opportunity to see spinner dolphins frequently and observe humpback whales during their migration, courtship, and birthing periods. Tours depart twice daily at 8 AM and 11 AM, with a minimum of four people required per trip. The final price includes all state taxes and fees.
