The Wreck Dive Lahaina offers a unique scuba experience exploring Maui’s famous Carthaginian shipwreck. This 4.5-hour boat trip departs from Lahaina Harbor and includes two dives: one at the wreck site and a second shallow reef dive.
Dive Itinerary
- Check in at Lahaina Harbor
- Board the boat and gear up
- Short 10-minute boat ride to the Carthaginian wreck site
- Dive #1: Explore the 95-foot deep Carthaginian shipwreck, a safe and extensive artificial reef
- Surface interval on the boat
- Dive #2: Shallow reef dive featuring green sea turtles, tropical reef fish, and occasional reef sharks
- Return to Lahaina Harbor
Marine Life and Safety
The Carthaginian wreck hosts rare deep-water tropical fish not found on shallower reefs. The shallow reef dive offers sightings of green sea turtles and vibrant reef fish. The trip runs about three times per month depending on conditions, with a 5:1 guide-to-diver ratio ensuring personalized attention. Divers must be at least 12 years old and hold a scuba certification card.
