Explore the sheltered waters of Kailua Bay and Popoia Island on a pre-planned self-guided kayaking adventure departing from Kailua, Oahu. Tandem kayaks fit one or two people and include life vests, seat backs, and paddles.
Transport equipment easily from the meeting place at 134B Hamakua Dr. to Kailua Beach using foam pads and straps for your car. Kayak in ocean waters protected by a large coral reef and explore Popoia Islet, a Hawaiian bird sanctuary, along with nearby reefs that host sea turtles and fish.
Permits allow landing on both Popoia Islet and Mokulua Nui Islet. Reserve kayaks in advance due to limited permits.
