Waikiki surf lessons provide an authentic surfing experience in the heart of Honolulu. Ty Gurney Surf School offers expert instruction with real surfers who share their lifestyle and knowledge of the best breaks in Waikiki.
Comprehensive Instruction and Equipment Provided
Each lesson includes all necessary equipment such as a surfboard and long-sleeve rash guard. Before hitting the water, participants receive an introductory land lesson covering basic skills and water safety. The safety briefing and on-land demonstration last about 10 to 15 minutes.
Surfing Sessions and Location Details
Lessons run up to 2 hours depending on the session type booked. Participants meet at the shop located at 205 Lewers Street, Waikīkī, Honolulu, at least 15 minutes before the lesson start time for check-in and gear setup. After surfing, guests can return to the shop to view photos or videos and browse merchandise.
